Stem is Fem project gathered girls interested in architecture and construction on the 17th and 18th of October. Representatives of UN Women in Ukraine, Ministry of Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, Chargé d’Affaires of Ukraine in Montenegro, and Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of North Macedonia joined the opening ceremony and gave motivational speeches to the girls.
During the two-day module, the participants listened to lectures, participated in Q&A sessions with industry specialists and visited workshops on 3D modeling. The girls talked to women who had built a brilliant career in architecture so they had an opportunity to learn about the industry first hand. The girls learned how to create a 3D model of a bicycle station and joined a competition for the best design. The grand prize – a graphic tablet – was won by Kateryna Kalinichenko from Boryspil, Kyiv Oblast. Kateryna designed a 3D model that included not only a bicycle station but also a charging station with solar panels and offered to place it in a local park. Kateryna believes that such an architectural object can improve Boryspil`s infrastructure, therefore, she would like to make the project real in the future.
