We Asked Four of Gamingtec’s Ladies About Women in iGaming

We spoke with four incredible women from our team to learn about their careers, the challenges they’ve faced, and how the role of women in iGaming is changing. They share their personal stories of growth, achievements, and their experiences within the industry.

1. Can you share how you got started in iGaming and a career milestone you’re most proud of?

Nastya: I began my journey in gaming with the mindset of wanting to work in tech and build a career online. While exploring various opportunities, I found the iGaming industry and Gamingtec to be particularly exciting, and it led me to my first role in iGaming. I started as a technical account manager, which came with a steep learning curve, but it was incredibly exciting and rewarding. It was especially thrilling to dive into every aspect of iGaming, learning the ins and outs of the industry while being guided and inspired by the great professionals and managers at Gamingtec. That was about eight years ago, and it’s been amazing to witness the industry's growth since then: seeing new brands, providers, competitors, and trends emerge over time has been truly inspiring.

Maryna: I already had some experience in IT, but I wasn’t specifically looking for a role in iGaming at the time. What drew me to Gamingtec was its dynamic nature, the opportunity for growth, and the chance to work in an industry that constantly evolves. Looking back, I feel incredibly lucky to have entered this space. One of the milestones I’m most proud of is building a new team and structuring processes from the ground up. Seeing how far we’ve come and the impact we’ve made makes all the hard work worthwhile.

Natalia: My journey in iGaming began with my very first job as a Customer Support Specialist. Within just a few months, I transitioned into the Partner Support department—an experience that perfectly reflects the fast-paced, dynamic, and opportunity-rich nature of this industry. After two years in this role, I ventured into other fields, exploring account management, F2P gaming, and e-commerce. Each experience broadened my skill set, but I realised that iGaming was where I thrived the most. The excitement, innovation, and constant evolution of this industry drew me back, and I embraced the challenge of stepping into a new role as a Casino Product Manager. Returning to iGaming in this role has been a defining milestone in my career. It’s a role that continuously challenges and inspires me.

Daria: My journey into iGaming was unexpected. I initially worked in a completely different industry, but a chance opportunity led me to explore iGaming, and I quickly realised how dynamic and exciting it is. My first role was in a casino management team, which has been incredibly exciting and provided me with a strong foundation in the industry. Later, I transitioned into account management, and this experience was invaluable, as it gave me a deep understanding of how the business operates, and its dynamic, unpredictable nature keeps things interesting. One of the milestones I’m most proud of is the constant growth and learning I’ve experienced throughout my career. The variety of tasks and the need to constantly adapt are what I enjoy most about my role.

2. What have been some of the biggest challenges you’ve overcome as a woman in iGaming, and how did you do it?

Nastya: I can’t say I’ve faced any specific challenges as a woman in iGaming. This industry is incredibly diverse and welcoming, and while it does have its challenges, I think those are shared by everyone, regardless of gender. For me, being a part of this industry has been inspiring and encouraging. I’ve felt supported, celebrated, and pushed to succeed, right alongside the many talented men in the industry.

Maryna: One of the biggest challenges has been maintaining a work-life balance, especially as a mother of two. This industry is fast-paced and demanding, and juggling professional growth with personal responsibilities can be tricky. However, I see it as an opportunity rather than an obstacle. Setting clear priorities, having a strong support system, and working in a company that values flexibility have all helped me manage both aspects successfully.

Natalia: I've had the pleasure of working with many incredible professionals—both men and women—throughout my career in iGaming. Personally, I’ve never felt that a gender influenced the way I was treated or the opportunities I received. At Gamingtec, I am fortunate to be part of a supportive and inclusive environment where talent and dedication are what truly matter. 

Daria: iGaming may appear to be a male-dominated field at first glance, but I’ve never faced any challenges due to my gender. The industry is indeed highly competitive but in my experience it has been inclusive, and what truly matters here is one’s expertise, dedication, and adaptability. 

3. What’s your favourite part of working in iGaming?

Nastya: My favorite part about working in iGaming is how fast-paced, dynamic, and demanding it is. It pushes you to constantly give your best and stay on top of your game. Along the way, you get to have a lot of fun, meet incredible people, learn new things daily, and watch the industry evolve around you. The opportunity to explore innovative and exciting new products is truly inspiring. Of course, all of this is only possible when you’re part of an incredible team and work for a company that supports and empowers you every step of the way. I absolutely love being a part of this industry!

Maryna: I love the constant evolution of the industry — no two days are the same. The challenges, the fast pace, and the ever-changing landscape keep me engaged and push me to keep learning. But most importantly, it’s the people. I get to collaborate with talented, driven individuals from different backgrounds, and that exchange of ideas and energy is incredibly rewarding. There’s a sense of freedom in this industry—you can bring your creativity, your ideas, and truly make an impact.

Natalia: I love the challenge and opportunity for growth that iGaming offers. This industry pushes me to learn, adapt, and evolve as a professional. While some tasks might be routine, we can’t avoid those completely, there are always new situations that require fresh solutions, keeping the work dynamic and exciting. Another aspect I truly value is the freedom to make decisions and the trust that comes with it. That’s what makes this industry so rewarding.

Daria: The energy, freedom, opportunities. Every day is different, and the industry never stands still. There’s always a new challenge, a new product, or a new trend to explore. I also love how iGaming brings together people from diverse backgrounds, each contributing unique perspectives.

4. How have you seen the role of women evolve in iGaming, and what advice would you give to women entering the industry?

Nastya: iGaming is not all that different from many other industries. Over time, more and more women have become involved in the growth of this field, with many seeking opportunities and achieving great success in the gaming industry. I truly believe that the number of women entering this space is growing every day, alongside the many talented and successful men who are also making their mark. In fact, at one of the recent events, we noticed that at some stands the ratio of women at the expo was actually higher than that of men. It just goes to show how welcoming and inclusive this industry really is.

Maryna: The presence of women in iGaming has grown significantly, and we’re making an impact at every level. The industry is open to talent, and I believe that success here isn’t about gender — it’s about your dedication, your skills, and your ability to adapt. My advice to women entering the industry is simple: trust yourself. Your perspective, instincts, and insights matter. Don’t be afraid to speak up, challenge the status quo, and take up space. You will be heard — just go for it!

Natalia: I have the impression the role of women in iGaming has evolved, with more women stepping into leadership, product development roles. The industry is becoming increasingly inclusive. For women entering iGaming, my advice is to be confident, proactive, and unafraid to take on challenges. This industry moves fast, so adaptability and a willingness to learn are key.

Daria: I’ve noticed more women stepping into the iGaming industry, and it's exciting to see many of my girlfriends are also working in this field. My advice will be to keep learning and growing, always strive to be the best in what you do, build a strong network, trust your worth, and don’t hesitate to take on leadership roles. Opportunities are there for those who are prepared for them.

5. What can companies in iGaming do to better support women?

Nastya: The industry is already doing a great job. We, women, love it here. :)

Maryna: I believe the industry is already making great strides in being inclusive and supportive. What matters most is creating an environment where everyone—regardless of gender—has equal opportunities to grow, lead, and contribute. 

Natalia: I’ve been familiar with the industry for eight years and have seen it become much more flexible, allowing people to balance both career and family. Today, iGaming provides opportunities for professional growth without having to choose between work and personal life, making it easier to achieve both.

Daria: The iGaming industry has already made great progress in supporting women, with companies implementing inclusive workplaces and providing equal opportunities for career growth.

6. Who has been a significant influence in your career and why?

Nastya: I believe the most significant influence on my career comes from the incredible professionals I’m surrounded by, especially those working in Gamingtec. They constantly challenge me to stay sharp, push me to be my best, and are always there to provide support. The open-mindedness of the team, combined with a shared passion for success, creates an environment where everyone thrives together. I think that a sense of teamwork and collective drive is the most impactful factor in shaping and advancing anyone’s career.

Maryna: The biggest influence in my career has been the people I work with. From my early days in technical support to leading a team today, I’ve been surrounded by professionals who have challenged, supported, and inspired me. The open-minded and collaborative Gamingtec culture has played a huge role in my growth. It’s not just about individual achievements—it’s about the collective drive to succeed, and I’m grateful to be part of a team that pushes each other forward.

Natalia: The biggest influence in my career has been the people I’ve worked with at Gamingtec. When I started in iGaming, I wasn’t fully aware of my strengths and have always been quite self-critical. I’m grateful to my colleagues for recognizing my potential, believing in me, and encouraging me to take on new challenges—even when I had doubts. Their support has been invaluable in shaping my growth.

Daria: The most significant impact on my career has come from the people in Gamingtec I work with, my managers and colleagues who believed in my potential, recognized my strengths, and provided the guidance and support that helped me grow. The very supportive and open environment they've created makes it incredibly enjoyable to work and encourages me to take on new challenges and believe in myself.

7. What impact do you hope to leave on the company or industry?

Nastya: I want to bring the same spark of inspiration to newcomers in this industry that my managers and colleagues gave me when I first started in iGaming. Their guidance and encouragement made all the difference, and now it’s my turn to pay it forward and help others get excited about their journey.

Maryna: One of my strengths is bringing structure and vision to processes while keeping the human aspect at the center. If I can inspire my team and those around me to approach challenges with confidence and creativity, then I’ll know I’ve made a lasting impact.

Natalia: iGaming has given me the opportunity to grow, and I want to inspire others to embrace challenges, take ownership, and confidently shape their careers in this dynamic industry.

Daria: I want to bring new perspectives and drive positive change. Whether it’s improving processes, strengthening relationships, or mentoring others, I want to help create an environment where people feel empowered to grow, embrace challenges, and see opportunities.
